State Normal School, Bloomsburg, Pa., 1880, Calliepian; m. Harrisburg, Pa., June 9, 1889, Minnie E. Troup; children: Lester Freeman, David Worth, Marvin, Marjorie. Was identified with the public schools of Pa., 1989-92; superintendent of public schools of Payette, Idaho, 1893-1903: became cashier of the Bank of Commerce, 1903, consolidated with the First National Bank of Payette, Idaho, 1906, and since that time has been cashier of same. Pres. Payette Mills, Inc.; Payette Twin Falls Land and Improvement Co.: v.-pres. Idaho State Fire Insurance Co., Payette Valley Hex Spray; dir. Payette Oil and Gas Co.; sec-treas. Idaho Land and Improvement Co. Member Payette Chamber of Commerce. Had two sons in the World War, Lester Freeman wounded in France, having both legs shot off above the knee and receiving other injuries. Chmn, first drive sale of Liberty Bonds of Payette County; assisted in all other drives. Member Y. M. C. A. (pres. 15 years), Interstate Executive Committee: pres. Board of Education, Payette, 8 years. Member of Session and Chmn. of Board of Trustees of Presbyterian Church.
