Pioneer answers Last Call Thursday
J. H. Carpenter passed away December 19th in Ontario just fifteen days after Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary, December 4th. Mr. Carpenter was born in Tennessee April 17, 1847. In the early days he was a vocal teacher. In the west he farmed in Washington and Idaho.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Nazarene church in Ontario. Interment was made in the Kennedy cemetery. His six sons acted as pall bearers.
