NEW PLYMOUTH - Larry Gene Blankenship, 37, New Plymouth, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1986, at a Phoenix, Ariz., hospital. Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in New Plymouth, with Pastor Russ Steiner officiating. A military service will be held at Parkview Cemetery at a later date.

He was born Nov. 21, 1948 in Jamestown, Ohio, the son of Viola D. Olsen, New Plymouth, and the late Edwin E. Blankenship of Lake Charles, La. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Germany. He married Jeri Waggoner of Fruitland, April 29, 1978.

He is survived by his wife, Jeri; a son, Richard, and daughter Stephanie, Vale; his mother, Viola D. Olsen, New Plymouth; five brothers, Charles Blankenship, Lake Charles, La.; A. Duane Olsen, Ontario; John Olsen, Philadelphia, Pa.; George Olsen and Donald Olsen, both New Plymouth; four sisters, Marilyn Blankenship Woodcock, Lake Charles, La.; Maxine Olsen and Anita Kyle, both of Payette; and Diana Martin, New Plymouth.
