Stanley J. Conner Feb. 9, 1929 - Feb. 19, 1999
FRUITLAND, Stanley J. Conner, 70, Fruitland, died Feb. 19, 1999 at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the West Valley Free Methodist Church, Fruitland, with Pastor Doug Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland.
Stanley was born Feb. 9, 1929, at Burwell, Neb., a son of Jay and Helen Conner. He grew up and attended schools in Nebraska. In the fall of 1943, he moved to Homedale, Idaho. In 1944, he moved to Nu Acres and leveled land with his father and worked on area farms. He entered the Army in 1950 and was discharged in 1952. He worked at Ore-Ida for three years and then farmed south of Fruitland and in Sand Hollow, where he has since resided.
