FRUITLAND - Chester B. Earhart, 80, of Fruitland, died Saturday at an Ontario hospital. Services were conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel in Fruitland, by Rev. Earl Traughber of the Church of the Brethren and Rev. Don Shover of Highway Assembly of God Church in Fruitland. Interment followed in Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth under the direction of Lienkaemper Chapel in Ontario.

He was born Oct. 28, 1898, at Horton, Kan. He married Anna Peters on June 6, 1929, at Barnum, Minn. He moved from Horton at an early age to Barnum. They moved to Grants Pass, Ore., then to Emmett in 1944, then to Fruitland, where they had lived since. She died March 26, 1979, at Ontario. He farmed, sold Watkins Products and owned a secondhand store. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Fruitland.

Surviving are a brother-in-law and a niece.
