FRUITLAND - Edgar H. "Ed" Edmondson, 79, Fruitland, died Aug. 30, 1992, at home of natural causes. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Pastor James Parmele of the Seventh-day Adventist church, Mountain Home, will officiate. Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.

He was born May 16, 1913, at Stillwater, Okla., a son of S.R. and Agnes Edmondson. He moved with his family to Chester, Mont., where they homesteaded. He resided in Montana until 1925 when he, with his family, moved to Oklahoma and then to Ontario in 1936. He married Fahy Burks of New Plymouth on Dec. 24, 1939, at Payette. They made their home in Ontario until 1943 when they moved to New Plymouth and in 1978 to their present location south of Fruitland. Ed served his country in the Air Force during World War II. He was well known in the area having operated his own gravel business for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Fahy of Fruitland; two daughters, Norma Allen of Lewiston and Linda Edmondson of Payette; one son, Edgar H. of Elko, Nev. and Ralph of York, Pa.; two sisters, Ruth Smart and Dorothy Lewis, both of Wenatchee, Wash.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one great-grandson.
