PAYETTE - Rosary for William Cecil Ferrel, 83, Payette, who died Saturday in an Ontario hospital, will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, by the Rev. John McGoldrick of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, New Plymouth. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel by McGoldrick. Interment will follow in Park view Cemetery, New Plymouth.

He was born Oct. 30, 1897, in Scott Township, Iowa. He moved with his family to Blackfoot in 1908. He moved to Nebraska in 1916. He married Anna Rys on Sept. 1, 1917 in Havelock, Neb. In 1930, they moved to Payette, where he farmed. His wife died in 1953. He married Pearl Skippen on April 5, 1955, in Winnemucca, Nev. He worked in canneries in Payette and Fruitland. He retired in 1967. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Survivors include his wife of Payette; a son, William of Hawthorne, Nev.; a daughter, Lillian Surprenant of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a stepson, Don Skippen of Sweet; a step-daughter, Ann Curtis of Payette; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters. Friends may call at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, today from 3 to 9 p.m.
