PAYETTE - Francis Homan, 78, of Payette, died today at a Payette nursing home. Services are pending at the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel in Payette.

PAYETTE - Francis H. Homan, 78, of Payette, died Wednesday at a Payette nursing home. Services were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel by Rev. Earl Traughber of the New Plymouth Congregational Church. Interment followed in Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth.
He was born April 15, 1900 at Albion, Neb. and moved to Fruitland in 1903, where he was reared and educated. He married Elma E. Cramer at Caldwell in August 1924. He farmed in the Fruitland area until 1956, when he retired and operated several rentals in the valley. His wife died in October 1953, and he married Erma Robinette in 1965. He moved to Payette in 1974. He was a member of the New Plymouth Grange and past noble grand of the New Plymouth Odd Fellows Lodge No 83.
Surviving are five sons, Norman R. of Fort Collins, Colo., E. Merrill of Castro Valley, Calif., Marion W. of Bothel, Wash., Hugh W. of Troy and Donald F. of Boise; two brothers, Waldo G. of Beaverton, Ore., and Herbert A. of Meridian; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by two half-brothers, a half sister and a brother.
