NEW PLYMOUTH - Services for Gertie D. Hoyer, 87, New Plymouth, who died Friday at a Caldwell nursing home, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, New Plymouth, by the Rev. Kendall North, New Plymouth First Baptist Church. Interment followed in Park View Cemetery.
She was born April 7, 1891, at Blackbird, Neb., where she was reared and educated. She married Charlie A. Hoyer April 10, 1907 at Blackbird, and they moved to Bellingham, Wash. They returned to Nebraska six years later. They moved to New Plymouth in 1939 and farmed and operated a dairy. He died in February 1970.
She was a member of the Priscilla Rebekah Lodge No. 97 of New Plymouth.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pearl Hoyer of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
