E. L. JONES DIES AT HIS HOME THURSDAY
Earnest Landon Jones, 61, passed away at his home North of Payette early this (Thursday) morning.
Mr. Jones came to the Payette community from Aztec, New Mexico sixteen years ago and operated a grocery store and service station North of Payette on Highway 95.
Earnest Landon Jones was born at Jefferson, Iowa, August 7, 1887.
Survivors are his wife, Sarah E. Jones of Payette, three daughters: Mrs. Lillie Carpenter of Aztec, New Mexico, Mrs. Jessie Creamer of Fruitland, Mrs. Gladys Baker of Ontario; one brother, nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Jones was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services will be announced by the Shaffer Memory Chapel.
