Mike King Dies at 87
Mike King, 87, of New Plymouth, died in an Ontario hospital last Wednesday evening following a brief illness. He was born in Montgomery county, Ky., Aug. 25, 1876 and came from Kentucky to Talk Store, east of New Plymouth, in 1913. He moved into New Plymouth in 1920.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter. He was a member of the Conservative Baptist church and Plymouth Lodge No. 83, IOOF.
Surviving are three sons, Charles and William King, both of New Plymouth and Herbert King of "Bremerton, Wash.; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Soder of Ontario, Mrs. Mabel Richardson of Boise, Mrs. Faye Harkins of Chehalis, Wash., and Mrs. Fern Hackney of Nampa; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Emma Cole of Boonville, Ind., and 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted last Saturday at the New Plymouth Shaffer Chapel with the Rev. T. Roy David in charge of services. Interment followed at Park View in New Plymouth with rites by Plymouth Lodge No. 83.
