WEISER - Elza Kinnaman, 94, of Marysville, Calif., formerly of Weiser, died Wednesday at a Yuba City, Calif. hospital. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the Weiser Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints by Bishop Robert Woods. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery at New Plymouth.
He was born July 23, 1884 at Elnora, Ind. He attended business school in Danville, Ill. He married Vasie Vertrees Feb. 6, 1908, at Elnora. They lived in Fort Cobb, Okla., where he taught school and farmed, and in Montana, where he worked for the railroad, before moving to Fruitland in 1920. He moved to Weiser in 1947 and farmed. He moved to Marysville in 1974. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Gladys Simpson of Fall City, Wash. Geneva Chapman of Marysville and Betty Cornwall of Caldwell; four sons, Gerald of Springfield, Ore., Lafe of McMinnville, Ore., Junior of Pasco, Wash. and Allen of Riverside, Calif.; a sister Tycia Edmondson of Washington, Ind.; 30 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, four children, two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, two sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at the Northam-Jones Chapel Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.
