NEW PLYMOUTH - Services for Frank James Lewis, 82, New Plymouth who died at a Boise hospital Saturday were conducted Tuesday at the New Plymouth Shaffer-Jensen Memory chapel.

Rev. Earl Traughber of the Fruitland Church of the Brethren officiated. Interment, with military honors, followed at Park View cemetery.

Mr. Lewis was born July 27, 1887, at McCook, S.D., and came to Enterprise, Ore., in 1911 to homestead. He served in the U.S. Army in World War I, then returned to Enterprise to farm and work in a mill.

He married Grace Gladys Cooper at El Paso, Texas, on December 29, 1918. She preceded him in death in June, 1968. He moved to Nyssa in 1937, and to New Plymouth in 1943, where he and his family made their home.

He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Anna VanDeBogart, New Plymouth, Mrs. Mary Agnes Martin, Portland and Mrs. Bertha Lemon, Minneapolis, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Barber, Olympia, Wash., Mrs. Robert (Winnie) Miller, Mt. Shasta, Calif., and Mrs. Daniel (LoWanda) Hildreth, Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, James Lewis, Joseph, Ore.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
