MRS. RALPH MACKINSON

Alice Lucile Whealdon was born Jan. 14, 1896 at Oakdale, Ore. The family lived their for a number of years and also at Grangeville, Idaho, finally moving to Payette valley in 1910. She was a member of the graduating class of the Fruitland high school in 1915. She was married to Ralph Mackinson March 12, 1919. She passed away on Feb. 14, 1939 following a stroke of apoplexy. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and five children, Fay, Robert, Donald, Jean and Lois, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Whealdon of Payette; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cotton of Oakridge, Ore., and Mrs. Margaret Lukens of Clarkston, Wash., one brother, Dick Whealdon of Tekoa, Wash., besides a host of friends and other relatives.

She became a member of the Methodist church in her youth and has been a faithful worker ever since. She was a member of Ladies' Aid, Young Women's Missionary society and Legion auxiliary at the time of her death.

She was a faithful and loving wife and mother and always a true friend and neighbor.

Funeral services in charge of Peterson's Funeral home were held in the Methodist church in Fruitland at 2 o'clock on Thursday. Interment was in Park view cemetery.

The many beautiful flowers gave evidence of the love and esteem for this good woman.
