Dr. Maud S. Mills
Dr. Maud S. Mills, 100, a resident of Fruitland since 1957, died Friday at a Payette nursing home. She was born April 23, 1867, at Chicago, Ill. and graduated from the Des Moines School of Osteopathy at Des Moines, Iowa, receiving her doctorate in 1902. She practiced for a total of 57 years in Illinois and California, including 25 years in Atascadero, Calif.
Dr. Mills came to Fruitland in 1957, where she had since resided. She was a member of the Osteopathic Association and the Congregational church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Violet Manser, Fruitland, and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were conducted Monday at 10:10 a.m. at the Shaffer Jensen Chapel, Payette by the Rev. M.S. Frantz. Cremation followed.
