Graveside services for Otto Ommert, 92, Jordan Valley, formerly of Payette, a retired store owner, who died Monday, Oct. 14, 1985, in a Caldwell hospital, were conducted today at Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth, with Rev. Earl Traughber officiating, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette.

He was born March 18, 1893 at Orofino, Neb., the son of John and Etta Ommert. He was reared and educated in Nebraska. He married Elsie Tridle on Sept. 8, 1912, at Gothenberg, Neb. In 1948 they moved to Payette where they owned and operated a grocery store. In 1955 they moved to Weiser where they owned and operated apartments in Weiser. They retired and returned to Payette in 1973. Mrs. Ommert died in 1981.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Ethel Ommert of Malin, Ore.; a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dick "Darlene" Arnall of Basque, Ore., a sister, Lois Rosenfelt of Cambridge, Neb., four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Elsie he is preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and a grandson.
