Rosary for Nora Marie Platz, 82, Fruitland, who died Oct. 7, 1982, in an Ontario nursing home, were conducted Friday in the Shaffer-Jensen Funeral Home, Fruitland, with Rev. John McGoldrick of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, New Plymouth. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Saturday, in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, New Plymouth, with Rev. McGoldrick. Interment followed in the Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth.

She was born January 18, 1900, in Twin Bridges, Mont., the daughter of George and Ida Franklin. She moved with her parents at a young age to Pearl, Idaho. She married John Joseph Platz on Dec. 15, 1920, at New Plymouth. They made their home in New Plymouth until moving to Fruitland in 1932. He died in 1968.

She was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in New Plymouth, the Catholic Women's League, member of the Royal Neighbors of America, Senior Citizens of Payette and New Plymouth, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Happy Circle Club.

She is survived by one son, Russell Platz, Fruitland; one daughter, Mrs. Newton (Fern) Keck, Fruitland; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one sister, Minnie Hargrave of Boise.
