Pioneer Passes On To Final Reward

Adelbert Relyea, of New Plymouth, who has been a resident of Idaho since 1890 and of the Payette Valley since 1893, departed this life at the age of 85 years at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jas. Dobson of New Plymouth, Idaho, Monday, August 28th, 1933, at 10 A. M.

Mr. Relyea filed on a homestead one half mile east of New Plymouth and has lived almost continuously on it until illness caused him to move to the home of his daughter on February 1st, this year. He was a charter member of the New Plymouth Baptist church, also a fifty-year member of the Washoe Lodge No. 28, A. F. & A. M., a member of Payette Chapter No. 8, Royal Arch Masons, Weiser Commandery No. 7, Knights Templar, and El Korah Temple, Mystic Shrine of Boise.

He is survived by three children, Sylvester Relyea and Mrs. Vida Dobson of New Plymouth, and Mrs. Anna Hoffman of Vallejo, California. Seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, also one brother John D. Relyea of Leslie, Michigan. His wife Amanda L. and two daughters preceded him in death.

The Funeral was held this Thursday at the Baptist church in New Plymouth, at 2:30 P. M., with Rev. C. H. Bloom of Boise officiating. Interment was made in Park View cemetery with the Masonic lodge from Payette in charge of the services and a Knights Templar escort from Weiser Commandery No. 7, Knights Templar as a Guard of Honor.
