NEW PLYMOUTH - Services for Ed Walker, 91, long time resident of New Plymouth, who died Saturday in a Caldwell hospital were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the New Plymouth Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Hayden Abel, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment followed at Park View.

He was born July 9, 1877 at Rich Hill, Mo. He grew up there and married Kittie Myrtle Hackett at Rich Hill in July, 1904. They came to New Plymouth in 1907. He was watermaster for the Noble Ditch company for a number of years and he worked for the State of Idaho and Payette County for a number of years as a road-builder in addition to farming in the New Plymouth area. In 1945 he moved to Bend, Ore., where he was watermaster for the Central Oregon Irrigation District until retirement in 1956, when he returned to the New Plymouth area where he has since resided. He was a member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include two sons, Everett Walker, Mesa, Ariz., and Clarence Walker, Bend, three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Harries, Portland, Mrs. Viola Rasmussen, New Plymouth, and Mrs. Ada Mason, Junction City, Ore., 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1938.
