Fruitland Matron Dies Last Saturday

Katherine Zingleman was born October 5, 1884 in Russia, and died February 5, 1938, after a lingering illness at the home of her daughter in Caldwell.

Having lived in Russia until she was eighteen years of age, she came to New Salem, North Dakota, where she met Albert Zingleman and they were married February 21, 1904. Ten children were born to this union.

The following children survive, Carl, Edgar, Edna, and Helen Zingleman, all of Fruitland; Mrs. Louise Fitch, and Gus of Caldwell; Mrs. Clara Linkert, of Stockton California, and Mrs. Anna Carda of Lodi, California, and Mrs. Ida Purdy, also of Lodi California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the German Lutheran church in New Plymouth. The Rev. Kellerman of Emmett officiating. Burial was in Parkview cemetery in New Plymouth. Music was furnished by a ladies chorus.
