Angela Renee´ "Angie" Ashley, 39, of Fruitland, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving friends and family.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2007 at West Valley Free Methodist Church, Fruitland. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. A visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2007 at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland.

Angie was born in Ontario, on July 17, 1968 to Robert "Bob" and Nancy Barowsky. Angie lived and attended school in Fruitland. After graduation, she continued her education at TVCC, the University of Oregon and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Boise State University.

Angie worked for several companies and stepped in and managed Big Sky Sportswear in Fruitland in 1993 where she stayed until it was sold in 2004. Angie then went to work for OCDC in Ontario where she had the wonderful opportunity to work around children.

Angie met and married the love of her life, James "Jim" Ashley on April 8, 1995 and they went on to make their home in Fruitland.

Angie joined the International Order of Jobs Daughters, Bethel No. 5 in Payette where she spent many years and became Queen on June 8, 1986.

During Angie’s life, she was always interested and concerned with her community. She volunteered for numerous activities such as "Paint fest", "The Olde School Committee" and became an energetic member of the Chamber of Commerce going on to become President and The Argus Business Woman of the year in 1998. Angie had many interests and talents.

She sold Tastefully Simple and Creative Memories. She was always working on a project and loved Arts and Crafts.

Angie always had a smile on her face and she was always a very social person.

It has been said, "Her smile can light up a room!" She especially had a way with children and loved all that she met.

Angie held a special place in her heart for her nephews, Zack and Trevor.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Ashley, father, Robert "Bob" Barowsky, and her brother and sister-in-law, Vance and Debbie Barowsky of Spokane, Grandmother and Grandfather, Evelyn and Ray Turek of Nampa. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Vance Barowsky, her Grandmother, Ardis Hensley, and her Grandfather, Bohn Vance.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped her in the past year for their generosity, comfort, and compassion.
