Payette - Paul W. Barber, 79 of Payette, died May 28, 1990, in an Ontario hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Payette. The Rev. Dean Grafft and Dr. Leonard Reifel will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
He was born Oct. 31, 1910, at Villisca, Iowa, a son of Grover and Edna Barber. He grew up and attended schools in South Dakota. He married Ruby Johnson on Oct. 31, 1934, at Sturgis, S.D. They moved to Ontario in April of 1937 and have resided in the Treasure Valley since.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Barber of Payette; three daughters, Valora Stirm of Payette, Alberta Rhinehart of Fruitland, and Imogene Heidelberger of Payette; one son, Ronald Barber of Payette; two sisters, Norma Trick of Fruitland and Donna Edwards of Redmond; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and two daughters, Adele Faye Barber and Althea Lynn Edwards.
