PAYETTE - Mary Lou Bronson, Payette, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 16, 1999, at home with her family. Mary Lou was born Jan. 17, 1916, to Llewellynn and Bertha Hepworth in Topeka, Kan. She was educated in Kansas and Missouri and graduated from the University of Idaho. She married Karl L. Bronson in Burlingame, Kan., June 1, 1941. They returned to Payette to make their home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mary Lou led a full, joyful life and died, as she lived, with quiet dignity. She was devoted to her husband, three boys and grandchildren. She loved books and passed on a passion for learning to her family. She was active and placed a high value on fitness. She was loved and will be remembered as a giving soul.

She worked as an educator for the Payette School District and as a secretary for Marshall Fixture Company of Payette.

Her family would like to thank Tammy, Melba, Stella, Louie and Susan from Home Health of Ontario, Ore., Tom, Pam and Patty of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinic Holy Rosary Medical Center, Jody Stark and all who assisted Mary Lou.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Karl of Payette; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Shellie Bronson of Lake Forest, Ill., Richard and Marcy Bronson and Greg Bronson, all of Payette; a brother, Samuel Hepworth of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Gretchen Bronson of Okinawa, Japan, James Bronson of Lewiston, Idaho, Carie Bronson of Arcata, Calif., Megan Bronson of Nairobi, Kenya, and Matt Bronson of Boise, Idaho. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Glenn.

The family suggests memorials may be made in Mary Lou's name to the American Heart Association, 270 S. Orchard St., Boise, ID 83705.
