PAYETTE - Services for John P. (Jack) Brooks, 91, of Payette, who died Tuesday at an Ontario, Ore., hospital were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of the Roses by the Rev. Harold Jacks. Interment was at Riverside.
He was born Feb. 26 in Missouri and had lived in the Payette area for 54 years. He married Filona Bessie Beeson on June 17, 1924, at Boise. He was a member of the Christian Church. He had been custodian of Riverside Cemetery for many years.
Survivors are a son, Melvin, Malin, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. George (Lois) Richter, Yakima, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Maude Kreher, Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His wife died in 1970.
Friends may call at the chapel until service time.
