James H. Carico Passes Sunday

James H. Carico, who has been seriously ill for the past months, passed away Sunday at his home on Route 1. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Payette Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Sundquist, pastor of the Christian Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery, graveside services were under the direction of the IOOF lodge and the Landon-Shaffer Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

James H. Carico was born at Galax, Va. February 18, 1879. He came to Idaho in 1900 and has made his home here for the past 47 years. He has been a member of the Odd Fellows lodge since 1916.

Survivors include his wife, Mary M.; one daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Robinson; two sons, John S., of Payette, and Jim, of Seattle, Wn.; five grandchildren. One son, Captain Hugh V. Carico, was killed in action in the 7th Infantry in Sicily in 1943. There are three sisters, Leona Morris, Mrs. Callie Beasley and Mrs. Ella Lundy, all of Galax, Va.; two brothers, Thomas of Payette, and Walter of Galax, Va.; one brother preceded him in death in 19033.
