Scarlet Fever

The 15 month-old boy baby of Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Chapman died of scarlet fever last Tuesday morning about ten o’clock. It is not known how the disease was contracted as it has been several months since there has been anything of the nature of this dreaded disease in this vicinity, and then in a very mild form. Every care will be taken to prevent the disease from spreading, but it is feared that some were exposed before it was known that the child had scarlet fever.

The funeral took place Wednesday morning at ten o’clock.
