Pioneer Matron Dies Friday
Satie Kate Chapman passed away on Friday of last week at the Payette Valley Memorial hospital. Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning of this week at the Landon-Shaffer Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Jacks in charge. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery following a graveside service by Eastern Star.
Mrs. Chapman was a pioneer resident of this community, coming here in 1895 and has resided in this city continuously since that time. She was born December 1, 1867 at Waupan, Wisconsin. Her husband, a daughter and three sons preceded her in death. Deceased was a charter member of the local Eastern Star chapel.
