John H. Chipman Dies At The Dalles
John Henry Chipman, of this city, died at The Dalles, Oregon, last Saturday following only a short illness.
According to the report, he had gone there only a short time ago to work in the fruit harvest.
Funeral services were held at the Landon-Shaffer funeral home Tuesday morning with the Rev. Paul Felthouse in charge.
He was born at Mitchell, Oregon, July 8, 1890, and was married at Boise Oct. 27, 1923. He came to Payette from Halfway, Oregon.
Surviving are his widow, Opal Mae Chipman, two sons, Leroy John Chipman and Ralph Allen Chipman, both of Payette; two brothers and one sister.
