Mrs. P. R. Clause Buried Here
Mrs. P. R. Clause, 67, died Saturday at her home north of Payette after a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 16, 1875 in Auckland, New Zealand, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eno? Salt. She came to the United States in 1908 and settled at Salt Lake City. On her birthday, Aug. 16, 1913 she was married to Purl R. Clause at Pleasant Green, Utah. In April, 1933 they moved to Payette where they have since made their home. Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anna Rich of Payette and Mrs. Bessie Ertmann of Los Angeles and by five nieces and one nephew. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Landon Funeral home with Bishop Franklin J. Peterson of the L.D.S. church in charge. Mrs. Melvin Grant sang and was accompanied by Mrs. Franklin J. Peterson. Burial was in Riverside cemetery and pallbearers were H. B. Solterbeck, E. F. Asmussen, Jim Carlyle, ? A. (unreadable), A. A. Bahr and Milton Grant.
