PAYETTE - Graveside services for Henry Clausen, 99, Payette, who died Friday at a Payette nursing home, were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Riverside at Payette by Dr. Leonard Reifel of Weiser. Services were under direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel of Payette.
He was born Jan. 29, 1876, in Schleswig, Germany. He came to the U.S. at the age of 17. He lived for a time with an uncle in Wisconsin. At age 20, he came to Idaho and homesteaded near Hagerman.
He farmed there until 1945, when he retired and moved to Payette. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Marguerile Lose and Katrine Peters, both of Germany, and several nieces and nephews, among them Mrs. Dora Kosesan, Payette.
