Illness Claims Glen Crosby, Rites Monday

Glen (Bing) Crosby, 73, Payette, died Saturday in an Ontario, hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born Sept. 10, 1893 at Menominee, Wis., he married Davida Timmins on July 31, 1928 at Bozeman, Mont. He moved from Jackson, Wyo., to Payette in 1943. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and the Neighbors of Woodcraft.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Glen E. Crosby Jr., Ontario, Holly Crosby, Weiser, and Owen Crosby, Payette; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Munch of Boise and Mrs. Joyce Green, Corvallis, Ore.; a brother, Ed Ward Crosby, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Rockwell, both of Knapp, Wis., and eight grandchildren.

Services were conducted Monday at Shaffer Memory chapel in Payette by the Rev. Frank Butler, pastor of the Ontario Episcopal church. Military honors followed at Riverside cemetery under joint direction of the Payette American Legion Post and the National Guard.
