Alma Mae Daniel, 95, Payette, died May 17 at a local care center. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
Alma was born May 9, 1906 at Sturgis, S.D. She grew up in Wyoming and Colorado graduating from high school in Sundance, Wyoming. She taught in a country school in Wyo. for one year. She married William Schmidt in 1925, he preceded her in death in 1951. She then married Ernest Cawthra and moved to Mississippi. They later moved to Idaho. Ernest preceded her in death in 1980 (sb 1982). She later married Ivan Daniel and he preceded her in death in 1991 (sb 1993). She was a life-long member of the Payette Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include three daughters; Louise Ross of Maple Park, Ill., Gladis Unrue of Payette and Dorothy Barth of Palm springs, Calif.; one son, Dusty Cawathra of Palm Springs, Calif.; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, an infant son, and seven brothers and sisters.
