Rites Held For Returned Soldier

Graveside services for Pvt. Ralph G. Daudt, a returned soldier were held at 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Riverside cemetery by the National Guard unit under the direction of the Shaffer Memory Chapel, Rev. A. F. Lienkaemper officiating. Private Daudt was born in Clelley, Nebr., May 13, 1921, and lived in Payette for 1939 until he entered the service in 1942. He was killed in action in the Normandy invasion, June 15, 1944. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Daudt, of Payette, four brothers, Charles, Herbert, and Raymond of Payette and Elmer of Portland, Ore.
