J. J. Davy was born in England 66 years ago, and came to this country at the age of 20. He was married to Jane Salkeld Hunter, November 15, 1887. She passed on February 26, 1904, in Payette. to the union was born John H. Davy of Glenn's Ferry, and James Russell Davy of La Grande, Oregon. The deceased served as pastor of the Payette Presbyterian church, from 1900 until 1905, and resided here until 1911 when he moved to Portland, where he passed away April 29th. The funerel was held at the Payette M. E. church, Monday, April 23rd, and the remains interred along the side of his wife in Riverside cemetery. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved relatives and friends.
