Services for Clifton L. Dickerson, 78, Payette, who died Thursday, Sept. 26, 1985, at a Weiser nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shaffer Jensen Chapel, Payette, with Pastor Lon Sassman of the First church of Christ, Payette, officiating, assisted by Bill Putman and Joel Stith. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette.

He was born Aug. 11, 1906, in Colony, Kans., the son of Stephen and Anna Wilson Dickerson. He served in the Air Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Viola Bryant on April 15, 1950 in Kelso, Wash. Mr. Dickerson worked for the Longview Fibre Co. for 20 years in Washington retiring in 1969. They moved to Star, Idaho then to Payette in 1971.

Survivors include his wife, Viola of Payette; two sisters, Ruth Boone of Longview and Louise Oliphant of Iola, Kans.; many nieces and nephews and several sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorathea Curtis.
