Long Time Resident Dies Monday Night
Ellis Sherman Dougherty, 68, of Payette, died in a nursing home here Monday night.
He was born January 25, 1871 at Anoka, Minn., and came to Idaho 53 years ago. His wife, Mrs. Amanda Dougherty died in 1930.
He is survived by two sons, Lloyd of Payette and Leo Dougherty of Baker, Ore.; of La Grande; one brother, Edward Dougherty of Minneapolis, Minn., 18 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Shaffer chapel in Payette with Rev. D. J. Phillips officiating. Interment was at Riverside.
