Ethel Fern Dunbar
PAYETTE - Services for Ethel Fern Dunbar, 85, of Weiser, formerly of Payette, who died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1983, at a Weiser Nursing Home, will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette. Private interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
She was born July 23, 1898, in Dwight, Neb., the daughter of Harry and Carrie Golden. She moved to Payette in 1908. She worked in the telephone office in Payette and later attended Links Business College in Boise. She married Ira Dunbar, July 23, 1924 in San Francisco, Calif. They lived in Sutter Creek, Calif. for many years. Mr. Dunbar died in December, 1950. She moved to Boise in 1973 and to Weiser in 1976.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia D. Olsen of Davenport, Iowa; two brothers, Lester Golden of Boise and William Golden of Weiser; four sisters, Goldie McDaniel of San Mateo, Calif., Mary Bailey of Portland, Ore., Reva Bowbrick and Irene Weygandt, both of Weiser; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel in Payette.
