Payette - Robert O. "Bob" Frazier, 80, Payette, passed away Feb. 7, 1999, at Boise. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ontario Elks Lodge No. 1690 with officers of the Lodge conducting. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.

Bob was born Oct. 8, 1918, in Payette, Idaho to James Edgar and Margery Dewey Sherer Frazier. He was raised and educated in the Payette area, attended the Washoe grade school and graduating from Fruitland High School in 1936. He served in the armed forces in the Pacific and European Theaters during World War II. On July 25, 1947, he married Velma M. Shepard in Payette and was most devoted to family and friends.

Bob was a farmer all of his life and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a 4-H leader for many years and a lifetime member of the Ontario Elks Lodge no. 1690. He loved traveling and made several trips to Alaska.

Survivors include his wife, Velma of Payette; a son, Mike and wife, Carmen Frazier of San Diego, Calif.; four daughters, Barbara Fairchild of Soldotna, Alaska, Lois and husband, Russell Payne of Portland, Ore., Janet and husband, Jim McDermott of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mary and husband, Ron Lemke of Eureka, Calif., a brother, Kenneth Frazier of Payette; a sister, Inez Polley of Fruitland; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arlon E. and James J. Frazier.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
