Funeral services in charge of Rev. Albert Beutenmueller were held for Fred Fricke from the Landon Funeral home Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock. Internment was in the Riverside cemetery with services at the grave in charge of the Payette Odd Fellow lodge.

Fred Fricke was born in Hanover, Germany, April 9, 1857. He served three years in the German army and when about twenty-three came to the United States to make his home in New York for a short time. He later moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, where he ran a general store for seven years. He then came to Idaho and operated a ranch near West Lake. He was married in Spokane to Miss Mary Ellen Cooper and to this union were born five children. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. M.E. Fricke, and two sons, George of Payette and William of Susanville, California. Three other children preceded him in death. Mr. Fricke was a member of the German Lutheran church, the Masonic Lodge, the I.O.O.F. lodge and the Knights of Pythias.

He died Monday, February 1, 1937, at the Allen hospital in Payette at the age of seventy-nine years, nine months and twenty-eight days.
