Past Utah 100F Grandmaster Dies at Payette Home

Levi Alexander Giddings, 75, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Mr. Giddings was a member of all branches of the IOOF lodge and a past grandmaster of the state of Utah.

He was born in Beaman, Iowa on Aug. 21, 1877. He moved to Salt Lake City, where he was engaged in the school teaching profession for many years. He made his home in Payette in December, 1952.

He is survived by two brothers, Harry, Modale, Iowa; T. E. Giddings, Payette; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Mahoney, Magnolia, Iowa and Mrs. Hannah Allen, Ogalalla, Neb.

Funeral services for Mr. Giddings were conducted Saturday at the Shaffer memory chapel, Rev. Karl Saladen officiated. Graveside rites were held by the IOOF Monday morning in the Riverside Cemetery.
