Funeral services for Peter Gladhart were held from the Baptist church, of which he was a member, last Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Rev. K. A. Nelson, with interment in the Riverside cemetery.
Peter Michael Gladhart was born in Erie, Pa., June 30, 1877 and was 58 years, seven months and seventeen days old at the time of his death, February 17, 1936 at his home on Fourth Avenue North in Payette. He leaves his wife, Mary Alma Gladhart and five children, Mrs. Edith Gissel of Willow Creek; Russel Gladhart of Paris, Idaho; Conrad Gladhart of Spokane, Wash.; and David and Katherine Gladhart of Payette. Two brothers also survive, Benjamin Gladhart of Portland and Fred Gladhart of Ramona, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Gladhart and family came to Payette nine years ago and have since made their home here.
Mr. Gladhart's parents were early pioneers of Cambridge, Idaho, where he was reared, they having homesteaded there about fifty-four years ago, and he continuing their land holdings and stock raising until the time he moved to Payette to make his home.
He had been in very ill health for about thirteen months.
