Harry E. Golden Dies at Council

PAYETTE - Harry Ellsworth Golden, 81, of New Meadows, Idaho, passed away at the Council hospital, Saturday evening, September 3.

He was born August 5, 1874, at Owensville, Indiana.

He first came to Payette in 1907 and moved to New Meadows in 1947, living there until his death. He was a member of the Christian church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Carrie Golden of Payette; four sons, Harold H. of Burns, William of Caldwell, Lester of Nampa and Lloyd of Riverside, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Dunbar and Mrs. Goldie McDaniels, both of San Mateo, Calif., Mrs. Mary Bailey of Portland, Mrs. Reva Bowbrick of Emmett, and Mrs. Irene Weygandt of Payette; two brothers, Ray Golden of Payette and J.E. Golden of Wabash, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Redman of Caldwell; 24 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Shaffer Memory Chapel in Payette, with the Rev. Martin Torrence officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Payette.
