Claude Forest "Tex" Haines
PAYETTE - Claude Forest "Tex" Haines, 80, Payette formerly of Cambridge, died Aug. 24, 1992 in an Ontario hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shaffer-Jensen Memory
Chapel, Payette, with Dr. Leonard Reifel, Pastor Emeritus of St. John's United Church of Christ, Payette. Vault interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
He was born Jan. 13, 1912 in Riggston, Ill., the son of Emerson and Emma Lankford Haines. He was raised and educated in Scott county, Ill. On Dec. 1, 1939, in St. Charles, Mo., he married Helen Patterson. They moved to Idaho in 1948 and for many years owned and operated a farm implement business in Cambridge, called the Haines Garage and Machine Shop. He retired and moved to Payette in 1964. Tex enjoyed working in his shop, however, what he really enjoyed was hunting and fishing, for which he truly loved Idaho.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; a sister-in-law, Irene Haines of Payette; a nephew, Bud Haines of Payette, and several cousins.
