PAYETTE – John W. Heilmeyer, 83, former resident of Payette died October 20 at St. Maries, Idaho.
He was born Sept. 20, 1889 at Creswell, Ore. He married Laura Hiscott, March 7, 1928 and she preceded him in death in July 1966. They came to Payette from Ashland in 1946. He was caretaker at the city park for several years.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Archie of St. Maries, Idaho; one sister, Della Wing, Portland, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Payette Chapel of the Roses with Pastor Dean J. Wigstrom of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ontario officiating. Interment followed at Riverside.
