Funeral services for Ida Bertha Hogg 83, Payette, who died Thursday, Sept. 19, 1985 in an Ontario hospital, were conducted Monday at the Chapel of the Roses in Payette with Betty Draper and Gary Paul officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Payette.

Mrs. Hogg was born Feb. 25, 1902 in Oral, S.D., the daughter of Herman and Gertrude Knueppel. She was reared and educated in South Dakota where she also received her teaching degree by attending the Ward Academy in Academy, S.D. for two years and Spearfish Normal Teacher's College in Spearfish, S.D. for one year. She married Robert Alden Hogg on March 19, 1927 at Hot Springs, S.D. She taught school in South Dakota until moving to the Oregon Slope in 1938 where she and her husband farmed. She worked also for Ore-Ida for ten years until her retirement. Her husband Robert passed away April 14, 1975. In 1978 she moved to Payette. She was a member of the Fellowship of Christians.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Winifred Hogg of Payette; one brother, Elmer Knueppel of Sun City, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Alder of Buffalo Gap, S.D. and Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Kilmurray of Ship Bottom, N.J.; and two grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Hogg, her son, Robert Carl Hogg, and one brother and one sister.
