FRUITLAND - Services for Vincent Leroy Horn, 44, Fruitland, who died Wednesday while at work, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette by the Rev. Earl Traughber, pastor of the Fruitland Church of the Brethren. Interment will follow at Riverside cemetery in Payette.
He was born at Fruitland, March 17, 1928. He grew up and attended schools in Fruitland and served with the military police in the U.S. Army from January 1946 to December 1948. He married Frieda Konig in Germany on Dec. 6, 1948. He had worked for the Payette County Road Department for several years and was supervisor at the time of his death.
In addition to his widow he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anita Dodson, Payette; a son, Walter Horn, at home; his mother, Mrs. Maude Bigelow, Fruitland; two brothers, Dale Horn, Waverly, Ohio, and Clifford Horn, Fruitland; two sisters, Mrs. Veda Kuhlman, Fruitland, and Mrs. Virginia O'Toole, Oregon Slope, and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
