PAYETTE - Graveside services for Howard Gordon Hunt, 45, of Payette, were conducted Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, by Dr. James York, Nampa First Christian Church, under the direction of Relyea Chapel.
Hunt who died Friday in a Boise hospital from suffocation after choking on food, was born April 25, 1934 at Marlboro, Mass. He attended schools in Westboro, Mass.; Vallejo, Calif.; and Payette. He joined the U.S. Navy when he was 17 and served in the Pacific during the Korean War. He returned to the Payette area, where he had since lived. He worked as an estimator for R&&M Painters of Nampa.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Hunt of Payette; a daughter, Heidi Hunt of Ontario; three sons, Virgil C. Hunt and Glen S. Hunt, both of Ontario and Steven Hunt of Kamiah, Id.; and a sister, Mrs. Stan (Jane) Olson of Nampa.
