MRS. HUSCHKE DIES IN BOISE

Johanna Friederica Huschke, nee Casberg, was born on December 17, 1888 in Berlin Germany, where she was baptized in the Ev. Lutheran church. At four years of age she came with her parents to the U.S.A., first residing in Chicago Ill, and since 1895 in Payette, Idaho, where she attended the public schools and was confirmed in the then called St. John’s Ev. Lutheran church. After prolonged and very painful suffering of one year, death came to her as a heavenly messenger of mercy and peace on Tuesday, February 22, about 3:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s hospital in Boise, where she had received her training as graduate nurse. Her husband, Erich Huschke, to whom she had been married on March 27, 1936 preceded her in death on November 26, 1937, and her sister, Hermine on January 5, 1938.

Our departed sister is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Casberg, and one sister Miss Friederica Casberg, and a great number of friends, who loved her for her sterling qualities of character, her friendliness and unselfishness, and who admired her patience and moral courage in her recent great sorrow and suffering. Funeral services held at Landon Funeral home, Thursday, Feb. 24, 2 p.m. Rev .A. Beutenmueller, officiating. Interment was at Riverside cemetery.
