PAYETTE - Services for Blanche Mae Olson Idle, 85, Payette, who died Monday at a Payette nursing home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette, by James C. Holbrook, minister of the First Christian Church. Interment will be at Riverside, Payette.
She was born March 26, 1887 in Rochester, Minn. The family moved to Marshall, Minn., in 1899. She attended Normal school at Mankato, Minn. and in 1906 taught school at Lynd, Minn. In 1907 she came to Payette and taught in District 6 for one year.
She married Mounie Olson June 3, 1908. They lived at the mouth of Little Willow Creek until 1945 when they moved to Payette. Mr. Olson died in 1951. She married Lewis D. Idle in 1953. He died in 1970.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Payette, the Payette floral Club and the 4-L club.
She is survived by two sons, Ray V. and Glen Olson, both of the Oregon Slope; three daughters, Vernice Mogensen, Fruitland, Mrs. LaVelle Moosman, Payette and Mrs. Barbara Attebery, Caldwell; three step-daughters, Mrs. Irene Tucker, Emmett, Mrs. Edna Gravell and Mrs. Mildred York, both of Boise; one brother, Roy Christensen, Oregon Slope; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Ensign, Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Floss Lockhart and Mrs. Pearl Ferrel, both of Payette; 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Ray, Fred and Earl Christensen and two sisters, Cora Munson and Grace Johnson.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church in Payette or flowers may be sent.
