FRUITLAND - Services for Roy Knowlton, 95, Fruitland, who died Friday at Presbyterian Nursing Home, were conducted at 3 p. m. Tuesday at Shaffer Jensen Chapel, Payette, by the Rev. Gale O'Neil of the First Baptist Church, Payette. Private committal was in Riverside cemetery.
He was born Feb. 22, 1881 in Wisconsin. He moved with his parents to Garnerville, Calif. where he attended schools. He later moved to Porterville, Calif. where he was a farmer. Mr. Knowlton moved in Fruitland in 1954?.
Surviving are five nieces, Helen Glenn, Santa Rosa, Calif., Myra Parson, Sacramento, Calif., Rita France, Porterville, Calif., Myrtle Hyman, Rock Port, Wash, and Beth Ann Webster, Strathmore, Calif. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
